Fishing Report

In the upcoming season, The Misty will start fishing for Cod April 15th to May 15th.
Then we will start out Bass and Fluke fishing.
On a typical day, we leave the dock at 5 am, start fishing at 6:15 am and usually catch 20-40 Bass, keeping only our limit of 1 per person (8 fish total). Then we go Fluke fishing. There is plenty of action with some keepers and a lot of shorts mixed in. The limit changes every year.
On the way home, the mate will clean and bag your fish. We arrive back to the dock around 2 or 2:30 pm.
By September 1st, we will be catching Black Sea Bass after we catch our limit of Stripers. The Sea Bass fishing gets better and better in September and October. At this time, Porgie fishing is also excellent, especially during the month of October.
As of November 1st, Tautog (Blackfish) are biting. We Blackfish until December 10th, weather permitting.
We also catch Codfish mixed in with the Blackfish in November.
Check our fishing reports throughout the course of the year.
